Hello! And Welcome!

Hi, I’m Myra, and I’m so glad you’re here! “A Heart Full of Joy” is a great place to strengthen your heart about motherhood, family, and homeschooling.

I feel I couldn’t have been given a better gift than to be a mother! I love it so much. Yes, even with all of its ups and downs, curveballs, and downright hard times.

Because being with my family, learning to love and serve at levels I never thought I had in me, and watching these kids grow into such wonderful people brings me such joy! There’s no place I’d rather be, than with my family.

Although I was raised by a mother who, to me, was the epitome of motherhood, I definitely didn’t get the skills or the love of motherhood by osmosis. In fact, when I got married and started having kids I had absolutely no clue of how to do it (from cooking to cleaning, to mothering…) And I did not love it. It was all the hardest thing I could imagine.

It took me several years and a lot of soul-wrenching work to start getting the hang of it. But thankfully, through a lot of effort and a lot of grace, I finally began to learn the art of motherhood.

I certainly wouldn’t call myself an expert, but I am pretty darn good at it.  And just the mere fact that I can say that I love being a mother with all my heart is amazing, considering how far I’ve come from when I was in my early 20’s.

I now have 5 awesome kids – 4 boys, a little girl at the end, 1 daughter-in-law, and a granddaughter! Yep! I’m a grandma now! Crazy.

We sure have a lot of fun together!
