I’ve got some great nursery wall art for boys and girls free printables just for you! I hope you enjoy them!
Three things have happened lately that have turned my thoughts to new babies and the wonder and miracle that they are.
The first thing that happened is totally awesome news! We recently had a very special addition to our family!
Introducing Johnson grandbaby #2! Welcome sweet little one!
I tell you, this ‘grandma’ thing is awesome! And weird at the same time.
Awesome for a lot of reasons…
- because a precious child has been born!
- I get to snuggle and snuggle on him
- but my body didn’t have to go through labor (!)
- and I still get to sleep through the night 🙂
- to see my son marry and start his own family is priceless
- to see that he and his sweet wife value family and children as much as I do is so wonderful
- to know our family is growing and growing brings me so much joy
- and really, I could go on and on…
But it’s also weird at the same time because…
- I’m not old enough to be a grandma!
- I mean, technically I am
- but I sure don’t FEEL old enough to be a grandma
So, I’m getting used to this new phase of life. Because, ready or not, it’s here!
And I really do love it. LOVE IT!!
The second thing that happened is truly a miracle. After 5 miscarriages and one preterm birth, my amazing niece and her wonderful husband have been blessed with a sweet, healthy baby boy!
Can you imagine? My goodness. Such faith and perseverance. My heart totally goes out to these two. We are all so grateful that this little guy is here and doing so well!!

And the third thing that happened is I had the privilege of writing a guest post about tips for welcoming home a new baby on the sweet blog The Fervent Mama called “3 Tips for Welcoming a New Baby Home.” I hope you enjoy it. It really has my top three tips for doing this new baby thing well.
If you know me very well at all, you know that my most cherished gift in this life is my family. Anything to do with family and strengthening it and supporting it gets my full attention.
So….
Between having a precious new grandbaby, my sweet niece having her long-awaited child, and writing that guest post, I decided to make some nursery wall art for boys and girls as free printables for you.
I hope you enjoy them!
Feel free to download them and use them for yourself or for gifts for others. They are copyrighted and not for resale.

Family is where it’s at
I know you know this too, but family is sure where it’s at.
Nothing in life has brought me nearly so much joy, and at the same time, nothing has brought me nearly so much challenge.
But that’s the beauty of it all.
Family is where we give everything we’ve got, and we grow our very best selves. No other way will do it nearly as well.
I want to share my joy and wish you all the joy that family has to offer.
Anything that has such great potential as family will be worth every single struggle we have.
Here’s to you in your motherhood, and here’s to your precious family!
Be sure to Pin this to save for later!
